Jim Ross recently posted a new Q&A on his website and this is what he said when being asked about NXT Divas Summer Rae and Paige being called up. “When the two ladies you spoke of are ready they will be called up. I think both need more time in NXT. Life on the road is hard and takes preparation. Let’s allow them to improve and better prepare for the grueling road schedule that awaits them. Backstage Summer is with NXT announcer Tony Dawson. He announces her name as Summer Rae and she is not pleased. She tells him that she is the First Lady of NXT and then tells him to try again. Tony asks her why she ran away during her match last week and she says she didn’t run away, she just remembered that she left her curling iron on in the locker room and didn’t want to burn down the building, then tells him that he should be thanking her, and Paige should be thanking her as well, because if it wasn’t for that curling iron Paige’s career would be going up in smoke. At the end of the interview Tony thanks Summer Rae, and again she is not pleased. “Who am I, Tony Dawkins?” she asks. “The First Lady of NXT, Summer Rae!” Tony answers. “Damn straight I am.” Summer says, before whipping her hair in his face and walking off.
